Obama: ‘If They Bring a Knife to the Fight, We Bring a Gun’

Mobster wisdom tells us never to bring a knife to a gun fight. But what does political wisdom say about bringing a gun to a knife fight?
That’s exactly what Barack Obama said he would do to counter Republican attacks “If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun,” Obama said at a Philadelphia fundraiser Friday night. “Because from what I understand folks in Philly like a good brawl. I’ve seen Eagles fans.”http://blogs.wsj.com/washwire/2008/06/14/obama-if-they-bring-a-knife-to-the-fight-we-bring-a-gun/

Free Speech in the Crosshairs

Free Speech in the Crosshairs
Excerpt:
The bitter, pinched personality of the hardcore progressive is the seedbed of political violence in our nation today.  I've written previously about the revolutionary intentions of the left in this country, and just a few days ago, the high priestess of leftist agitation, Francis Fox Piven, called for "violent...bloody revolution."  Republicans need to get ahead of the coming slander.  Let your congressperson know that you won't tolerate your freedom of speech being limited because of the actions of a madman, or by the design of media/political charlatans.

Oddities regarding Christina Green ..9 yr. old victim of Tucson Tragedy

So odd that little Christina was born on the tragic day of:   9/11/01  ...... and dies on the tragic day of   1/9/11.

Statement by NRA Concerning Tucson Tragedy

The National Rifle Association, the nation’s largest pro-gun lobbying group, posted the following statement [13] on its Web site: “Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims of this senseless tragedy, including Representative Gabrielle Giffords, and their families during this difficult time. We join the rest of the country in praying for the quick recovery of those injured."
Asked whether the repeal of gun restrictions played a role in the shooting, the group’s spokesman told Politico [14]: “Anything other than prayers for the victims and their families at this time would be inappropriate.”

just a conservative girl: See Americans Can See the Truth - Not Buying the Lefts Blame Game
A new poll is out today that the majority of Americans have rejected the falsehoods that were spewed over the past few days about the shooting of Congresswoman Giffords.  The largest portion of people who did believe the spin were democrats:

Overall, 57 percent of respondents said the harsh political tone had nothing to do with the shooting, compared to 32 percent who felt it did. Republicans were more likely to feel the two were unrelated - 69 percent said rhetoric was not to blame; 19 percent said it played a part. Democrats were more split on the issue - 49 percent saw no connection; 42 percent said there was.

Independents more closely reflected the overall breakdown - 56 percent said rhetoric had nothing to do with the attack; 33 percent felt it did.

Obama's Internet Plan Sounds an Awful Lot Like a National Internet ID

Obama's Internet Plan Sounds an Awful Lot Like a National Internet ID
According to Commerce Secretary Gary Locke, as reported by CNET:
"We are not talking about a national ID card. We are not talking about a government-controlled system. What we are talking about is enhancing online security and privacy, and reducing and perhaps even eliminating the need to memorize a dozen passwords, through creation and use of more trusted digital identities."
We are talking about a government-controlled system. That is exactly what we are talking about. In fact, the presentation of what few facts exist is vague enough as to be good for nothing but worry.
